Since people seem to have a hard time understanding my vernacular, I’ve decided to add a new feature to my blog, word definitions, to help you along.

carryou (ker-ree-yoo) noun?

The act of having Mommy or Daddy transfer me from one location to another in their arms.

as in, “I want carryou.”

I learned it from Mommy and Daddy saying, “Do you want me to carry you?”

I seem to get less carryou since Jake was born.

Happy Mother’s Day, Momma!

Daddy helped me make breakfast in bed for Momma today.  Jake played his part in the surprise by keeping her in bed late while Daddy and I cooked downstairs in the kitchen.  We made pancakes and eggs and coffee and juice.  And a card.

Later, Joycee and Papa Gene came over and we all went to the arboretum and walked around.  Papa Gene said I could spend the night in a tree if I wanted, but I preferred to go get something to eat.  So we went for Thai food where I had a some of Joycee’s tofu salad.  I stayed up real late again!

My favorite book to read lately is “Froggy Gets Dressed” by Jonathan London.  I picked out this book at the library.  It’s about a young frog who wants to go out and play in the snow but keeps getting reminded by his mama to put on more warm clothes.  I help Momma read it by playing the part of Froggy’s mama and calling “Frooooooggy” at the appropriate times.  Sometimes I also like to answer for Froggy by replying, “What?”.

Can you tell what I had for breakfast?  Pancakes (I named the ingredients and helped stir) with blueberry compote.  Some of it seems to have gotten on my face and pajamas.

This morning when I came down the stairs there was an Easter basket waiting for me!  In it were two pretty eggs that Momma and Daddy had colored for me.  And a new bunny-potato head.  I refused to eat the hard-boiled egg even though eggs (scrambled) are one of my favorite foods.

The most fun was had outside where Daddy had “hidden” colored plastic eggs around the backyard.  I took my basket outside and started searching and collecting.  Imagine my joy when I discovered that each plastic egg contained two dried cherries (my all-time favorite food which I never get to eat enough of because they make my poop funky.  Doesn’t bother me, but it seems to bother those who change my diapers).  Anyway, this activity was so much fun that we repeated the egg hiding and finding several times.

Baby Jake is here!  I went to visit him in the hospital and he’ll be coming home in a couple of days.  He’s got his own blog that you can read here.
