Halloweeeeeeeen!
This year was my first real Halloween experience. And I resisted at first. I wasn’t “down” with the whole costume thing. At first bought a pug costume and forced me into it. I cried. It was too small anyway, so it went back to the store. In exchange, Momma brought home a witch costume, figuring it was more like normal clothes and that I would be more accepting. But normal clothes are not made of cheap, crunchy fabric. They spent a week trying to warm me up to the witch hat. When it came time to put on the dress, I protested. I relented, but demanded to be allowed the comfort of my bink and blanket in order to wear it.
Since it was so nice out, we just sat on the porch and waited for the kids to come. Daddy showed me how to hand out candy and I got a real kick out of doing that. I was afraid of some of the scarier costumes, Darth Vader in particular, but eventually warmed up to the whole costume thing. I even wore my hat and danced some.
Momma and Daddy had decorated the house earlier today with spiderwebs and creepy lawn installations. They thought it was
pretty funny when the cackling witch scared me to tears. Here is a photo of me just before the witch screamed at me. I don’t like those decorations and stayed clear afterwards.
We sat on the porch past sunset. I figured out the the pretty foil wrappers have tasty tasty treats inside, and I got a little sugar high. I stood on our sidewalk, a piece of candy in each outstretched hand, and hollered “HI” “HI” “HI”, hoping to bring in more customers. But it was bedtime.

Anyway, it was a good time. Next year I might try the trick or treat thing myself, but handing out candy was alot of fun.

Baby
I like babies. They are good to look at and make me smile. Sometimes one of the other mother’s at daycare brings a baby and I get to stare at it for a while. I haven’t tried poking it in the eye yet, but I’ve thought about it. The cat’s don’t seem to like a poke in the eye, which is why I’ve been holding back.
I can now say “baby” too. Before it was just “be”, but I’ve gotten the hang of the two syllable thing. Like “bubble”.
Momma and Daddy keep talking about some baby that is coming to our house sometime. They use words like “sister” and “brother” and “share”. I don’t like the sound of that last word. But a baby can only be a good thing- it should mean more binks in the house, more toys, and a new bed for me.
Oh, yah, Momma wanted me to mention a new blog: Number Two

Pumpkin Patch
Tonight we went to pick out our pumkins at a local church. Daddy picked a big pumpkin, Momma a medium pumpkin. I tried to get a big one like Daddy, but couldn’t even roll it over. In the end, I got one more my size.

No.
I’ve been practicing and perfecting it quietly in my carseat for some time, but now is the time to unleash my most powerful word yet… No.
I have two versions. One is quite casual, and I use it to answer almost any question that is asked of me.
Momma: “Liza, are you hungry?”
Me: “Nah.” (Though I’m clearly shoving crackers in my mouth.)
Daddy: “Liza, do you want to take a bath tonight?”
Me: “Nah.” (Even though he knows very well I jump at any chance for a bath.”)
It’s a good thing they know to ignore me while I perfect my use of this word, or I would never get cleaned or fed. I’m not sure why I like it so much. Perhaps because I hear Momma say it to Daddy so often.
I also have a more angry version of “No no no no no no no” which I scream from my crib when they refuse to take me out of it at 1:00am. It goes hand-in-hand with bink throwing.

Kieth Blue
Uncle Greg and Aunt Lindsey had a baby early this morning. Yah, more cousins, but…
Another boy? Geez. Where are all the female cousins who will play “dress up” and “house” with me? Boys are fine for now while we all share the same interests (banging things, scribbling, climbing, etc.) but soon I will grow out of that and on to more productive activities such as organizing doll houses, dressing barbies, and doing hair. Who’s going to play those games at holiday time with me? Someone help me out and MAKE ME A GIRL COUSIN!
