This Morning’s Activities
July 3, 2008
I was the first one up this morning. I decided to work on a little project while I was waiting in my crib and suprise Mommy when she came to get me out of bed. So I took off my diaper and went to work.
Just as I was putting the finishing touches on my face, Momma came in. The first thing she noticed was my diaper on the floor. She looked puzzled. Then she sniffed and looked at me and my crib for about 3 seconds. She was so thrilled with what she saw… with my creation… that she screamed for Daddy. She started saying, “Oh no no no no no no no no, no!” (This was confusing because I am sure that what I did was a good thing, but I thought “no” was for bad. She must not know how/when to use that word yet.)
When Daddy came in he stared at me too. Just to make sure that they knew that what I did was for them, I gave them a little smile.
The rest of the morning is a blur. They both started moving very quickly. Momma ran and started the bath. Daddy lifted me out of bed, making sure I came nowhere near him, and took me into the bathroom. I heard the washing machine start and Momma running around the house while Daddy gave me not one bath, but two! When we went back into my room my creation had been removed, my bed was stripped, and it smelled faintly of disinfectant.

Good to know your pooper’s working well. Do you know any good plumbers in case this happens again? We do know of one who makes house calls…want his number?

LOL… That’s Liza. I learned in my Child Development class that children who do this often become great artist. We will see.
Love ya Liza

You’ll do it someday too, Elias, when they make the mistake of putting you to bed with just your diaper on. Now I’m back to the full-on zipper-up pj’s.

Dear Little Liza!
I can’t wait to share your story with GG Ruby! We share the same email address so you will probably hear from her tomorrow! I think your mommy and daddy have a wonderful sense of humor! You are one “lucky ducky”! When do you think they will put a camera (with audio) in your hands!? I’ll bet the expressions on their faces were priceless!
There must be a baby cam somewhere in your room you could flip on next time you have something to share with them……………!
Love,
Great Aunt Caron

Liza, that’s one way to get attention! I’m sure you were beautiful and Daddy and Mommy were hugging you and hugging you, after the “clean-up”! You’ll learn someday that this is not “make-up”!
You tried so hard to please Mommy and Daddy! Enjoy your clean sheet!
I love you so much!
