I’m a baby on the move!

Yesterday, I took Mommy for a walk to the CTA train stop to meet Daddy as he was coming home from work.  He’s been gone a lot lately taking care of sick people.  He looked really tired when I first saw him walking down the sidewalk.

But, as is usually the case, he perked-up and smiled continuously at me.  He even started singing some of his great “improv” songs.  Those songs make me giggle – especially the one that goes, “let’s go change the diapee -  the diapee – the diapee – is it poop? – is it pee? – I don’t know -  let’s go see – THE DIAPEE!!!!”

Daddy, daddy.  I just might be the best thing that ever happened to you (besides Mommy, of course!)  I hope you tuck me in to bed tonight…….

5 Months Old Today.

My, how time flies.  And how I’ve grown!  Going by my 4 month Dr. appointment, I must be a little over 16lbs and about 28 inches long.  (I can’t say “28 inches tall” because I can’t actually stand up on my own.  Yet.)

I’ve got some skills too.  I can roll any which way.  I can worm along the floor to get to a toy that someone has rudely placed just out of my reach.  Once I get to that toy I can pick it up, turn it around, switch it from one hand to the other, and put it in my mouth.  I can almost sit up on my own- but I usually fall forward after a few seconds. 

I can also mess with mommy’s sleep.  I used to sleep through the night like a good little baby.  But that got boring.  The other night I woke mommy up at 2am and demanded to be fed.  The night before I screamed for no good reason.  Last night I gave her a break and slept for a whopping 11 hours!  Just to tease her and make her think I’ve gone back to my good-baby ways.  Nah… I just might make a late night poopy diaper tonight and get daddy up too.

My Cuz and Me

This is my cousin Ryan and me (I’m in pink, he’s in blue). He’s just 1 month older than me. We can’t do much with each other yet but stare, swat, and swap germs- but someday we’ll have some good fun. He lives in Milwaukee with his crazy older brother, Jack. I’m not sure what to think of Jack. He hasn’t held still long enough for me to really get a sense of him, but he did pet my head once.

Ryan has great toes, don’t you think?  I like toes.  I like them a lot.  I wonder if Ryan’s mommy puts socks in the way of his toes.  Mine does, and it drives me crazy.  Why cover up such a good thing?  I don’t care if the socks have cute little polka dots.  I’m only interested in what’s underneath.  I rip those socks right off and get right to sucking those tasty tasty toes.

This video is actually a bit old. It was filmed two weeks ago. I haven’t shared it yet, because it is so controversial. In it I discuss my views on what’s good and bad with the world, who should be president, how to improve the economy, and what’s in my diaper.
