My Daddy

All this talk about me and Mommy and no mention of the most important man in my life……Daddy! I’ve heard him say “it takes 2 to tango” before – I think he’s talking about all the fun dancing we do together because I haven’t seen him and Mommy dance really at all.
Daddy makes me laugh and giggle all the time. He makes funny noises and lifts me REALLY high in the air. Sometimes, if Mommy just fed me I spit up on Daddy after one of his airplane rides. Ooops! But really Daddy, haven’t you heard of the “rest and digest” rule – or how about the “wait 30 minutes before swimming and airplane rides” rule??
Sometimes Daddy is gone for a long time – like a whole day and night! Mommy says it’s because he has work hard to become a good doctor so he can take care of sick people. Mommy and I miss him when he’s gone but he always has a big kiss and smile for us when he gets home.
Oh yeah, he always gives me a big kiss in the morning before he goes to work too! Sometimes I don’t wake up but that’s o.k.. Right Daddy? After all, a growing girl needs her beauty sleep….. ![]()

Did I mention that Daddy is a big sports fan? Mommy isn’t, so sometimes Daddy and I get the WHOLE couch to ourselves to watch basketball, football, baseball, etc….. He wants me to go to University of Wisconsin-Madison and be a Badger like him. I don’t know yet – I still have to put my Pre-School application together!!!

Rollin’, rollin’, rollin’…
Well, for a long time now I’ve been holding up my head pretty good- both when I’m upright and when I’m on my stomach. Speaking of my stomach, I can now get there from my back if I lift my legs in the air and hold them over to one side. I’m really adept at rolling left, but my arm still gets stuck under me when I roll to the right. It’s really uncomfortable and frustrating. I have to make a lot of noise to get someone to come help me pull my arm out.
I’ve made up this fun little game to play when Momma or Dad puts me down on my back. I roll over onto my stomach and then pretend like I’m upset to find myself that way. I make a lot of complaining noises, and eventually one of them will come and roll me back onto my back. But I go ahead and roll onto my stomach again right away and start making noises again. They seem to find this only mildly amusing, while I get a real kick out of making them come pay attention to me. Just when I think I’ve pushed them too far I give them a big grin, and then they forget how I’ve just been messing with them.

What I’m Reading
Tonight my bedtime book was “Belly Button Book” by Sandra Boynton. It’s about hippos who love their belly buttons. I followed along pretty well, mostly for the colors and shapes on the pages. I really wanted to taste it, but Momma wouldn’t let me.
“Bee-bo!”

Hello World!
I’m Liza, pleased to meet you. I’m almost four months old and today I learned to type. Momma set me up with this blog so I could start recording my history. She had bought one of those baby books just before I was born, but she hasn’t been keeping up with it too well. Says she’s too busy cleaning my bottles and my butt to find time for it. Whatever.
I suggested that a blog might be more fun, and would be something I could upkeep myself. So here I am, making my internet debut. Soon I’ll be able to vanity-Google myself.
What? Bed time already?
